“Sooooooo many memories……Gouda slicing (very thin!) in the flat in Wandsworth……being in the back of the Renault 4 with cousin Alan whilst Uncle Eric demonstrated how to change gear to my (probably petrified) dad in the front…….garlic chopping (very small!) for my mum’s pressure cooked ratatouille with Spam…….re inflating the airbed in their two ‘man’ tent in the middle of every night in St. Clair……..discussing gardening with my dad on moving in to Sandown Way…….with Granch in women’s underwear at a Boxing Day party in Mafeking Terrace….and telling Michael and Joe to sit back down because no one would be leaving Nanny’s for a while yet as this was going to be a Welsh goodbye!…..a phrase firmly established in the Roe family lexicon…..Eric, never forgotten.”

I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are.
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
